Under the Laurels- Artwork

Wildly fluttering banners without any inscriptions, vessels that couldn't possibly stand on their own, and enormous heeled shoes feel perfectly at home amid the exuberance and chaos of the pinky-oranges, green-yellows, and dense, suffocating blues. The dynamic stains and sweeps of colour across the canvas interrupt the focus on the subject depicted. The process of making a monotype affords me an opportunity for chance and touch to entwine itself with the image, each piece a record of a fleeting thought or poem in colour.
