Its easy to feel cut off on the Downs, there are very few main roads and any towns and villages are mostly situated on the edges. But there are farm buildings, some working, some abandoned but always with their own particular character. The farm in this painting was distinguished by lots of large red signs warning people not to feed the Animals.
